Subscription options page down to bottom. PURPOSE The Moving Pictures Collective of NYC (MoPictive) is a community of storytellers focused on the art & craft of digital storytelling. The Digi Storytellers list (LIST) is an on line meeting space to promote sharing & support in the use of the current digital tools, it's associated software and hardware, and systems for story creation and distribution. List members (MEMBERS) are individuals or groups interested in learning more and sharing information on digital storytelling techniques, equipment and the art and craft of a well told story. CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP Joining the Digi Storytellers LIST signifies understanding and acceptance by MEMBERS of the following: The LIST is a place for the free exchange of ideas supporting digital storytelling MEMBERS will treat each other with courtesy & respect MEMBERS are not allowed to post commercial or promotional content The List Admin reserves the right to remove any MEMBER at any time with or without notification HELPFUL HINTS In a listserv environment, everyone one receives a copy of every post (either feed or digest form), and every post is archived on the server. Members can subscribe in feed mode (single emails) or in digest mode (multiple posts in a single email). Most members scan the subject line for topics of interest. A succinct subject will encourage more accurate responses. If creating a new thread (asking the first question), 1. Start fresh with a new post, using "reply" will make your new post part of an ongoing thread, add digistorytellers@mopictive.org to your email address book. 2. Summarize your question in the subject line 3. State your question plainly, if technical, include all relevant information to help troubleshoot your problem. 4. Stay on topic. If you must go Off Topic, precede the subject line with "OT:" Digest Members: Trim your posts Digest members should change the subject to the title of the post and trim the rest of the digest post away. If contributing to an ongoing thread, trim excessive quotes, leave enough of the original question to gleen thread continuity. For archiving, consider the subject line like a keyword or abstract from a research paper. Using Digistorytellers
To post a message to all the list members, send email to digistorytellers@mopictive.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Digistorytellers
Subscribe to Digistorytellers by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
