The Producer / Senior Video Editor will perform video editing on
Porter Novelli's nonlinear video editing system, video duplication, A/
V assistance requests, and inventory. We are looking for someone
with good communication skills who can handle direct interaction with
internal clients, external clients, and our vendors. The ideal
candidate will also be willing to learn new skills depending on the
needs of our clients as technology evolves. The candidate must have
experience editing corporate video and highlights reels. The
candidate will gain an understanding of the field of public
relations. Experience in Web 2.0 technologies is desired.
The candidate must have experience with the following applications/
technology:
Apple FCP Studio
Adobe AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
Understanding of video levels using waveform / vectorscope and TBC
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Video compression software (ie, Cleaner, Episode Pro)
Scanning and photo retouching skills
Betacam, DVCAM, DVD and HD formats (HDV, HVCPRO HD)
Video production skills (camera, lighting and audio)
Audio editing software
(desired) Experience with YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, et cetera
Other requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications & three years' experience in that
field
