[Digistorytellers] NYC Permit Process - Let us Request an Additional Public Hearing!

The Mayor's Office of Film is reviewing rule changes on the permit process:

This posting went up in several places, causing some concern. The film office held a public hearing about the proposed rules on June 28, but no one attended. The only written comments the department received were from the New York Civil Liberties Union. Obviously the public hearing was either "top secret" (not adequately publicized), or we all prefer to comment on things after the fact.
I'd like suggest that NY filmmakers request an additional hearing, and that we show up in mass. I volunteer to spread to word on all boards where I am a member, and this would be a great opportunity for MoPictive to make an impact as well.
