[Digistorytellers] Compressor 3.0.1 Problems

Has anyone worked with the new version of Compressor 3.0.1?

I'm running on a G5,  Dual

In Compressor I selected Quick Time  H264, History file shows it was  
successful .  But I can't play the movie, "Error can't open movie"

I tried two different jobs:

I made a QT movie from FC Pro 6,  a 2 min. trailer, dragged it in to  
Compressor, and Selected Quick Time H264

Apple said perhaps it was due to the deck I used to import the  
footage into FC Pro 6 (Deck is a Sony Mini DV model GV-D1000 NTSC)

So I tried the same thing using a clip from an Apple Training CD, and  
Compressor didn't process it either, same problem

It sits in the History file, indicating "unknown time remaining", and  
it doesn't do anything.

I looked on the Apple Forum and there are lots of complaints and not  
many answers.  I read the manual and I didn't see anything there to  
help.  I called Apple and the guy I spoke wasn't very helpful.
