[Digistorytellers] Promise VTrak E-Class RAID Subsystem

Hello,

I've just re-joined the list, so forgive me if this has been  
discussed before...

The company I edit for has maxxed out our 7TB XServe RAID, and is  
looking to add another big chunk of storage; arrows seem to be  
pointing toward Apple's new officially-sanctioned Promise storage  
unit.  It seems however that this Promise system only has drivers for  
Leopard OS 10.5.2; our current system in a Quad 2.5 GHz PPC running  
OS 10.4.11, FCP Studio 2.

I had heard of systems that had been upgraded from Tiger to Leopard  
causing problems with FCP, and perhaps with other software as well.  
Can anyone tell me if these issues have been resolved with the  
current versions of Leopard, and specifially if anyone has undergone  
that upgrade for the purpose of adding a Promise V-Trak storage  
system, and how well things are working?
